Exploring hidden cultural gems
The Balkans are part of the world that is very rich in history and culture. It is the place where Occident and Orient meet. #TravelFromHome and explore the cultural monuments in both Polog and Elbasan regions. Here you will find remnants of the great Ottoman, Byzantine and Roman Empires, in buildings, churches, mosques and many other monuments that stand witness of a past long gone by, but a past that has shaped the culture of both Polog and Elbasan. A history set in stone – Elbasan region
Elbasan is a region with very vivid sights, an immense cultural and historical heritage, as well as some of the most unique cities in the region. One such city is Belsh, with its crown jewel – Lake Belsh. Even though, quite small this picturesque part of the Elbasan region, has over 84 glacial small lakes, olive oil plantations that seem to stretch into infinity and soul like no other. Тhe filming of 10 short videos intended for tourist promotion of Polog and Elbasan regions has begun
On 16 December the filming of 10 short videos intended for tourist promotion of Polog and Elbasan regions has begun. The first scene was filmed in the Elbasan region, in the Republic of Albania. The filming will take place in most of the locations that are geographically part of the two targeted regions – the Polog region in North Macedonia and the Elbasan region in Albania. The videos are part of the STEP project and Trojka Studio Skopje is the film production that will produce the videos.
“Creating a common future” is an event that will be held in Ohrid to achieve greater cooperation with Albania
Florent Bajrami – Guest on the morning show on Alsat TV
On June 20, Floren Bajrami, Project Coordinator of the STEP project was a part of the morning show on Alsat TV. During the interview Mr. Bajrami informed the general public about the upcoming cross border event named ” Creating a common future”, organized by 9 projects implemented by 30 NGO, grant beneficiaries from the Program for cross-border development between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Albania financed by the European Union.
